Dynafit Ultra-light Alpine Touring Set-up
============================

This is a great light-weight set up which is complete for somebody with a size 10.5 mens boot. It's great for spring climbing and I've seem one report of a climber using an identical set-up for Leutholds Couloir and Reid Headwall on Mt Hood, climbing in the Dynafit Boots and using the skis to approach/return. The skis are small and even with the bindings are super light weight, so they are easy to carry on a pack when necessary as well. They are excellent for spring, they are not a powder ski.

I'll sell the whole thing, in new condition, for $499 obo. The current retail is about $1083 based on the prices of each item listed at the bottom. (Skis, bindings, boots, skins, ski crampons, brakes). There are two photos below.

I don't remember using these since 2000 which is when I think I got them. I just don't like the AT set-ups in general, and I've stuck with telemark gear. I actually never used these much, I did do a one-day circumnavigation of North Sister in them in May 2000 without any problems.

The Dynafit binding is famous for being ultra light-weight. The Tourlite Rally ski was made as an ultra-light ski to go with the binding. The entire ski/binding combination is feather weight. The catch is that the ski was designed only for the Dynafit binding and you can't mount anything else on it. (You can try, but its at your own risk!) The binding has a heel part and a toe part mounted separately and they are mounted for a specific boot without being adjustable. To use a different boot one or both parts would need to be remounted.

Since the ski can't be mounted with other bindings and the Dynafits are currently mounted for these boots I'm hoping to sell the whole thing to somebody who fits the boot and can use it as it is. But I'll consider offers from anyone wanting just the binding, skis, boots, or any two.

The bindings are complete with the original box, ski crampons, and brakes. Original instructions and mounting info is included. (Neither brakes nor crampons are mounted.) There is a pair of LifeLink skins included with the skis which are very lightweight but will need regluing. The old glue is not dirty and a simple application of Gold Label should do the job.

The boots are also Dynafit and lightweight. I think they are TLT4's or something like that. They have thermo-fit liners and are incredibly warm. While the skis are set up for just this boot the boot can be used with almost any binding, and with crampons.

It's hard to put a current value on this since they no longer make this ultra-light ski. These are the prices I could find for the items separately from recent sales on forums and/or ebay and from retail price lists:

Binding: $379 new
Boots: $289 used (New 3-buckle models are $500-600 retail)
Skis: $125 new in shrinkwrap (170cm, 93-68-7Cool
Skins: $150
Brakes: $75
Ski Crampons: $65

Total Value: $1083.00 (plus mounting, etc)
Asking: $499 obo for everything, ready to use
